AOS 98 budget meeting, vote Jan. 23
Alternative Organizational Structure (AOS) 98 will hold its annual budget meeting at 6 p.m. Jan. 23 in the Boothbay Region Elementary School gymnasium. Voters from Southport, Boothbay Harbor, Boothbay, Edgecomb and Georgetown will determine the administration’s budget via a 15-article warrant: Article 1, $175,990 for special education; Article 2, $438,932 for system administration; Article 12, fiscal sum of $614,922 with assessments of $582,922; Article 13, transfer of $5,000 from undesignated funds to capital reserve funds for expenditure on emergency repairs for the central office; Article 14, expenditure of funds received from federal, state or other programs not requiring matching funds be spent; and Article 15, expenditure of $20,000 in undesignated funds to raise the 2019-2020 budget from $613,457 to $633,457.
Articles 3-11 are listed as $0 for any corrections needed to parts of the budget: Regular instruction, career and technical education, other instruction, student and staff support, school administration, transportation, plant operation and maintenance, debt service and other commitments, and all other expenditures.
