The artists of the “Painting Maine IV” art show at the Damariscotta River Grill are ceaselessly inspired by Maine's beauty: its rugged landscape, strong character and hardworking people. As paintings sell, they are quickly replaced by others.
Artists Betty Heselton of Gardiner and Pemaquid, Ellen Hutcheson of Boothbay, Barbara Klein of Bristol, and Sally Loughridge of South Bristol hope that their paintings stir memory, anticipation and emotion. The show runs through September 15.
