Artist supports BRLT by donating new work
Boothbay artist Donald Demers has created a new work in support of the Boothbay Region Land Trust. “Low Tide on the Ledge, Porter Preserve,” is a signed 16 by 20-inch oil painting on linen encased in a 22-carat frame hand-carved by Demers. The new piece is for sale at Gleason Fine Art and will remain on display at the gallery until it sells. The proceeds from the sale will support the Land Trust's Stewardship campaign to sustain hiking trails, boat and waterfront access and environmental education.
Marty and Dennis Gleason, proprietors of the gallery, are also supporting the campaign by foregoing their commission. Gleason Fine Art is located at 31 Townsend Avenue in Boothay Harbor. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and anytime by appointment.
