Author talk with Anne Britting Oleson

Event has passed

Southport Memorial Library invites the public to meet author Anne Britting Oleson and find out about her new book, the second of the of the Aventurine Morrow Thriller series - “Adventurine on the Bailgate” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30.

Anne sent this synopsis along:  Aventurine Morrow is alone in Lincoln, England, attempting to overcome writer’s block while researching a new subject, Katherine Swynford. Here she befriends a cathedral tour guide, Henry Hallsey, whose daughter Nicola has gone missing. When a woman is found dead on the grounds of the Old Bishop’s Palace, and the Swynford Jewel is stolen, Aventurine falls under suspicion. With police dogging her every step, Avi must seek the help of wily former spy, Genevieve Smithson. In the midst of all this, Gio Constantine reappears—but Gio might not merely be the sensitive singer-songwriter he appears to be.

Anne Britting Oleson lives and writes in a small town in Central Maine. A frequent traveler to the U.K., she has published six previous novels, including “The Springs” (Encircle Publications, March 2023), and the first Aventurine Morrow Thriller, “Aventurine and the Reckoning,” (Encircle Publications, January 2022), as well as four poetry chapbooks. She has three children, six grandchildren, and one cat.

She is a graduate of the Stonecoast MFA program of University of Southern Maine; a founding member of Simply Not Done, a women’s reading, writing, and teaching collaborative.

When she grows up, Anne Britting Oleson says she “wants to marry all the words.”
