Author Talk with Barbara Ross July 11
Barbara Ross is the author of 12 Maine Clambake mysteries and six novellas. Her books have been nominated for multiple Agatha Awards for Best Contemporary Novel and have won the Maine Literary Award for Crime Fiction. Join us in welcoming her to the Southport Memorial Library for an Author Talk on Thursday, July 11 at 6:30 p.m.
Her latest novel is “Torn Asunder.” Morrow Island is a perfect spot for a wedding—and a Snowden Family clambake. Julia Snowden is busy organizing both—until a mysterious weddingcrasher drops dead amid the festivities . . .When a guest falls to the floor dead, it turns out that no one seems to know who he is. And when an injection mark is spotted on his neck, it’s clear this wasn’t caused by a shellfish allergy. As the weather deteriorates and a small group is stranded on the island with the body—and the killer—Julia starts interrogating staff and family members to find out who turned the clambake into a crime scene . . .
Barbara Ross has also written the Jane Darrowfield Mysteries. Her first mystery novel, “The Death of an Ambitious Woman,” was published in 2010. In her former life, Barbara was a co-founder and chief operating officer of successful start-ups in educational technology. She and her husband live in Portland.
