Authors Gerritsen and Spencer-Fleming at Lincoln Theater
Prompted by the enthusiastic reception of the Mystery Writers' panel discussion last year, the Maine Coast Book Shop will host Maine's top crime and suspense novelists Tess Gerritsen and Julia Spencer-Fleming at the Lincoln Theater, on Friday, June 19 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Gerry Doyle, master of the Maine noir, will be moderator.
Internationally bestselling author Tess Gerritsen is an American novelist and retired physician, best known for her "Rizzoli and Isles" suspense series. Gerritsen's first medical thriller, “Harvest,” was her first title to make it onto The New York Times’ best-seller list, but most definitely not her last. Releasing a title a year since then Gerritsen has become increasingly popular with die-hard fans and new fans every day. Her newest book, “Die Again,” was released in May.
Julia Spencer-Fleming is a The New York Times best-selling author of “Through The Evil Days,” eighth in the Clare Fergusson suspense series which have won or been nominated for every American mystery award available, including the Edgar, the Anthony and the Agatha.
Gerritsen, Spencer-Fleming and Boyle will share a lively discussion on all things deadly and gruesome. What it is about Maine that feeds the imagination of so many suspense and mystery writers — more than any other state in the country? Book signing to follow. Can't make it?
