Barbara S. Coggiola
Barbara Schubert Coggiola, formerly of Wiscasset and Damariscotta, Maine passed away Aug. 17, 2021 in Spring Hill, Florida from complications due to COVID-19. She was 75.
She was born April 10, 1946 and grew up in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. Her parents were Joseph and Myra Belle Schubert. After graduating from Palmyra High School in Palmyra, New Jersey, Mrs. Coggiola worked as a waitress for a number of years on Long Beach Island, New Jersey before moving to Wiscasset, Maine with her husband David Coggiola in 1978. She had changed careers and became a Certified Nurse Assistant providing private duty care to elderly patients in Damariscotta, Edgecomb, Wiscasset and later on Florida Gulf Coast.
After leaving Maine in 1995, she and her husband David lived in Charlotte, North Carolina before moving in 1998 to the community of Hudson in Pasco County, Florida.
Barbara loved life especially her family that included Judy and Terry Zakerowsky of Spring Hill, Florida.; her aunt Anna Mae Magonigal of Moorsestown, New Jersey; a nephew Phil Di Vece of Wiscasset, and close friends Ken and Joanne Champion also of Spring Hill, Florida.
Barbara Coggiola is also survived by her husband David; a daughter, Melissa of Ocean View, Hawaii; a grand-daughter, Bella, of Hudson, Florida, and one sister, Dorothy Beyer who resides in Ohio along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Schonat of Bowmanstown, Pennsylvania in 2003 and Annabelle Di Vece of Willingboro, New Jersey in 2010.
A private memorial service is planned in Florida but not been announced.
