Alna Third Selectman Doug Baston and former legislator Les Fossel make up the only contest in the town's March elections. Both filed nomination papers for second selectman, Town Clerk Liz Brown said.

Second Selectman Ed Pentaleri is not seeking reelection, Brown said. Greg Shute will be the lone candidate on the ballot for third selectman; and Road Commisioner Jeff Verney is unopposed for another term.

Elections are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, March 22 at the Alna Fire Station, Brown said.
