Water creeps up the sides
of the stainless steel sink, melds
with tangerine liquid soap,
creates rainbows encased in bubbles.
I slide in ornate flatware, muffin tin,
slotted spoon, alabaster ironstone
platter, China bowl with blue irises.
I slip into blue irises —
blue irises open like a palm to the sun.
God is in the pots and pans,
I have heard, everything
is simplerwhen becoming the act.
Ornate flatware muffin tin, slotted
Spoon, alabaster ironstone platter,
China bowl, blue irises in the garden —
a palm filled with sun.
