Learn to play the guitar and make some music! Boothbay Region Adult Ed is offering a hands-on beginning guitar course. Please note the dates listed in the winter-spring brochure are incorrect. The correct dates are Feb. 23 to March 10. The class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost is $60.

This six session course is designed for people with little or no experience playing the guitar and will provide an introduction to TAB, chords, strumming, flatpicking styles in a way that’s fun and enriching. We will focus on the fundamentals, timing, maintenance, improving your technique, keeping a steady strum, and strumming the chords to a few simple songs. Bring your acoustic guitar, and flat pick.

Include payment and mail to the address on the form, or drop off your registration and payment in the high school office weekdays.
