Bingo! PIE raises $1,884
Partners In Education's bingo fundraiser April 1 was a fun community event for all! We had a night of bingo at Huntoon Hill Grange, generously coordinated by the Grange. Total proceeds for the evening to PIE was $1,884. We are so grateful to our individual and business sponsors: Huntoon Hill Grange, Wiscasset Parks and Recreation, Wiscasset Quikstop, First National Bank, Gelato Fiasco, Rocky's Hardware, Maine Maritime Museum, Ackerman Builders, Burlap & Birch, Shaw's, Beth Bluteau, Jodi Hardwick, Kim Averill, Monique and Peter McRae and Nadine McCoy.
Free child care was offered at Wiscasset Community Center where it was provided by Wiscasset Elementary School staff and PIE volunteers. A sincere thank you to these volunteers for making the evening a fun event for WES students and their siblings: Kathleen Pastore, WES principal; Laura Mewa, WES assistant principal; Beth Bluteau, Chantel Nelson, John Nelson, Mary Bailey, Madison Tarrance, Nadine McCoy and Wendy Tarrance.
PIE is a non-profit organization with a focus on providing support to WES students, teachers and staff. Our meetings are held monthly at Wiscasset Community Center and by Zoom the first Tuesday of each month, at 6 p.m. We welcome parent, family member, teacher and community volunteers. Current board members are Kim Averill, Wendy Tarrance, Beth Bluteau, Nadine McCoy and Lucy Oyster-Ackerman.
