Boothbay Railway Village Museum’s Volunteer Appreciation Day July 9
The Boothbay Railway Village plans to celebrate past and present volunteers at the museum on Sunday, July 9. Volunteers will enjoy free admission all day, with live music and a barbecue on the Village Green.
“We are honored to host this fun-filled day, especially for our Volunteer Family! If you have volunteered at the museum in the past or present, this event is for you! Museum admission will be free all day for past and present volunteers, and as many of their family and friends as they choose to bring with them! And volunteers will have a few extra surprises as well!’ says Executive Director Paul Barcellos
To best prepare for the event, the staff is requesting that guests RSVP by emailing Hannah at Events@RailwayVillage.org before July 5 with the number and names of volunteers and the number and names of friends and family in your group.
Admission is free all day, but the added fun happens from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.:
• Museum Founder, George McEvoy will be onsite to share his fascinating stories of how the museum came to be!
• Outboard Exhibit Founder and Donor, Larry Stevenson will inspire your creativity with the history of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco era, and their Influence on Outboard Motor Designs.
• Live music on the Village Green!
• And there is nothing like a summer barbecue and a cold beverage!
