Maine Coast Artist Gallery in Friendship is putting out a call for art with the theme for floral still life, garden art, fine craft and sculpture and related art for the upcoming show "Flowers by the Sea." The art exhibit will be part of Friendship Days on July 27, which has the same theme.

The show will open with an artist reception on Friday, July 26, from 4 to 7 p.m.

The work that is chosen should be dropped off on July 21 between noon and 3 p.m.

The gallery is also inviting local floral designers to participate in a floral design that relates to artwork in the show for the Friendship Garden Tour on August 10.
