Call to artists for ‘Autumn’ exhibition at River Arts
River Arts is inviting all Maine artists to enter the juried exhibition, “Autumn.” Work in any media is encouraged, including photography and sculpture, encompassing whatever changes the new season brings to landscapes, gardens, human activity and mood.
The opening reception for the exhibition is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 4 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Artists may submit up to three works for an entry fee of $15 for members, $20 for nonmembers. Work can be dropped off September 27 and 28. Earlier submissions are accepted within usual gallery hours.
The juror for this show is artist and gallery owner, R. Keith Rendall of Wiscasset.
Rendall is a professional printmaker and artist with over 30 years of experience. He is a graduate of Kenyon College and has been the recipient of several prestigious awards. He has shown his work internationally and is revered as a true master of his art. He has shared his talent through teaching at the University of Maine, Farmington, Lincoln Academy as well as private and public schools throughout the state.
For more information about Master Printmaker, R. Keith Rendall visit his website: www.rkeithrendall.com. The R. Keith Rendall Fine Art Gallery is the latest addition to Wiscasset’s art scene at the site of the former Blooms store on Main Street, and where the viewer can be enveloped by his enormous prints of wild creatures. Rendall’s gallery also features a choice selection of hand-crafted furniture, designed and built by Edgecomb furniture maker Eben Blaney.
Artists will be notified by email or phone of the juror’s decision. Submissions may not have been show at River Arts previously.
