The Olde Bristol Days Vintage Car Show is back for 2018, this year celebrating its fifth anniversary as part of the annual Olde Bristol Days celebration. Local community interest and participation has grown the event substantially over the past several seasons. Entries of vintage, collectible and interesting cars, trucks and motorcycles are invited on Saturday, Aug. 11, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with pre-registration.

It’s important to note that show parking is limited to 25 vehicles, as space is at a premium. OBD Vintage Car Show staff is therefore recommending immediate sign-up. And, it’s free. Call Jeff at 677-3707 or email him at jftv1@verizon.net to ensure participation for your vehicle(s).

Six trophies will be awarded, including first, second and third place by popular vote, the ever-popular “Kid’s Pick” trophy voted-on by children 12 and under, along with both “Director’s Choice” and “Outstanding Motorcycle” awards for excellence. Winners will be announced promptly at 2:30 at the car show site.

There’s a great parade, too. The Olde Bristol Days Parade begins at 10 a.m., ending at about 10:30 right near the Vintage Car Show site. The car show commences at 10:30. Vehicle owners can make an outstanding parade even better by appearing in the parade first and then proceeding down the road to the car show site. Or, for those entries not choosing parade participation, vehicles will proceed directly to the car show location.
