Call for Maine artists
Enter Boothbay Region Art Foundation’s annual ARTinME Showcase! This juried, large format show will run Oct. 7 through Nov. 11. Contemporary artists who work in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and mixed media are invited to submit up to two entries.
Juror for the show is Diana Kerr. Diana has over 45 years of art experience in curation, administration, and sales. In her earlier years, she was in charge of corporate art sales at a gallery in Boston and was manager of Baridoff’s contemporary gallery in Portland, Maine. More recently, Diana was curator and art consultant at the Firehouse Gallery in Damariscotta and was Assistant Director/Director of Sales at Gleason Fine Art in Boothbay Harbor. During all this time, Diana was creating her own work, “Diana Kerr Design.” She is now co-owner /co-manager of Kerr+Jones Fine Art and Craft Gallery in East Boothbay.
This is a chance for artists to express themselves in a big way! We welcome all Maine-based residents (full or part-time) to prepare and submit for this exhibition featuring 2-dimensional works a minimum of 30” inches on one side (900 sq. in. minimum), or small 3-dimensional pieces.
Entry Guidelines: No more than two entries of original fine art; 30” on the smallest side or 900 sq. in. overall for 2-dimensional work. Small sculptures are also welcome. Work must be properly wired whether framed or un-framed (no clips or hooks). $15 per piece for current BRAF members ($30 for 2); $20 per piece for non-members ($40 for 2). BRAF takes 35% commission for sold work.

This year’s artwork must be submitted in person to: Boothbay Region Art Foundation at 1 Townsend Ave, Boothbay Harbor. Drop-off dates: Sept. 28, Noon-4 p.m.; Sept. 29, Noon-4 p.m.; and Sept. 30, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
