Call for volunteers, participants and sponsors
Wiscasset Art Walk, a monthly showcase and celebration of downtown galleries, area artists, restaurants and shops, is seeking volunteers, participants and sponsors to join us this summer.
Wiscasset Art Walk will be held on the last Thursdays of June, July, August and September from 5 to 8 p.m. It is a free, self-guided walking tour in downtown Wiscasset that will feature a different special event or gallery each month as well as musicians, pop-up art displays, and the popular Alive on the River concert series which will be held on the Town Commons this summer.
The first Wiscasset Art Walk will feature the incredible work of assemblage artist John Sideli at his studio and gallery located on Water Street in Wiscasset Village on June 27.
Wiscasset Art Walk seeks volunteers to help coordinate these vibrant monthly events; volunteers can help with one event or several of these special evenings. Wiscasset Art Walk participants include artists interested in exhibiting in town, and local storefronts and businesses who are willing to host temporary exhibits.
Sponsors are needed to help fund the monthly events. Sponsors will receive thanks and recognition in Wiscasset Art Walk publications and media.
Any potential volunteers, participants or sponsors, or anyone else interested in learning more about Wiscasset Art Walk, should contact Event Coordinators Lucia Droby at ludroby@rcn.com or Ann Scanlan at 207-882-8290.
Wiscasset Art Walk is truly shaping up to be a lively and invigorating community cultural event; please consider getting involved this summer.
