Wiscasset Elementary School is looking forward to welcoming the children of our new kindergarten class. These are children who will be five years of age on or before October 15, 2016. Please contact the elementary school office at 882-7767 with information about your child. Dates to remember are following:

Tuesday, May 17, 5 to 6 p.m. Parents Only Information Night. You will learn about the kindergarten day and have the opportunity to meet our present kindergarten teachers, principal, special education director, school counselor and nurse. Registration information will be distributed during this visit.

Monday, August 29 and Tuesday, August 30, Kindergarten Screening (one hour appointments). Parents will make an appointment during the parents only meeting on May 17. If you are not able to attend, please call the school to schedule one. Parents will also have the opportunity to meet with the school nurse and school counselor while children visit with school staff to complete the screening.

On August 31, you will receive a call letting you know the placement of your child.

On Thursday, September 1, at 9 a.m., you and your child are invited to visit your child’s teacher, see the classroom, meet other classmates and have a short bus ride. Tuesday, September 6 will be the first student day for our new kindergarten class.
