Calling all people in the Maine vacation rental industry
Everyone involved in vacation rentals in Maine is invited to attend this the 6th VRPOMe (Vacation Rental Professionals of Maine, Inc) Conference at the Hilton Garden Inn in Freeport. “Our industry is facing multiple issues that will determine how we are allowed to do business in Maine,” said Kathy Baker, Board Secretary. Our one-day schedule will focus on the future of STRs in Maine with some of the industry’s biggest and brightest talents, including;
· Deb Hart, VRPOME’s Representative in Augusta
· Justin Ford, Breezeway Safety Expert
· Steve Trover, Better Talent
· Patricia Moore, Global Vacation Rental Association
And some surprise guests…
The conference is sponsored by leading suppliers of services to the industry. It will be a great time to meet with potential service providers and network with others in our industry. "The livelihood of short term rentals in Maine rests solely on groups like VRPOMe.org and events like this," says industry advocate Matt Landau of VRMB.com. "The trend is happening throughout the country. If you're not participating you're giving up your seat at the table."
The Conference requires pre-registration (on a first come basis), and includes lunch and snacks for the full day of educational activities. It will start at 8 a.m. and finish at 4:30 p.m. Registration closes Sept. 6. Here is the link: https://www.vrpome.org/events-1/vrpome-2023-conference
“This is a crucial time for our industry here in Maine,” said Audrey Miller, founding president of VRPOMe. “Our industry needs to stand up and define who we are and what we do. We are a diverse group offering many types of short-term rentals. People are proposing regulations that simply don’t apply to all of us. We need to get in on the conversation.”
