At approximately 8 p.m. the night of February 2 a car left the road on Route 27 in Edgecomb and crashed into a utility pole.

The accident occurred just south of the intersection of Route 27 and Mason Road.

An official on the scene said three people were in the car and there were no serious injuries. The cause of the accident was unknown.

The official said this is the fifth time a utility pole in this location will need to be replaced in a few years because of accidents like this one.
