‘Celebrating Color’ exhibit opens November 15
River Arts welcomes the public to an evening of music, refreshments, conversation, and art at its opening reception for the “Celebrating Color” juried exhibition on Friday, Nov. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibition of over 120 pieces of art, by 90 different Maine artists, includes paintings, sculpture and fiber arts. The exhibition will run through December 12.
Gallery owner and artist, Bruce Busko, was the juror for this exhibition. He is the owner and director of the Landing Gallery in Rockland. Busko has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pennsylvania State and Masters of Fine Arts in painting and print making from the Pratt Institute.

Of the artists with works in the show, the following are from the Boothbay-Wiscasset-Damariscotta areas: John Butke, Helen Farnham, Liliana Thelander, Michael Austin Kane, Hannah Ineson, Bernice Rosenthal, Glenda Drum, Denise Rankin, Polly Steadman, Anna Shaw, Carolyn Wiley, Priscilla McCandless, Peter Felsenthal and Sheila DeBettencourt.
River Arts is located at 241 US Route 1 (north) in Damariscotta. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
