Chapman-Hall House annual yard sale July 23
The Chapman-Hall House Historic Site will hold its annual yard sale Saturday, July 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Located in Damariscotta, the 1754 Chapman-Hall House sits at the corner of Main Street and Church Street. To reach the sale, travel past the house and down Church Street to the corner of Elm Street where a wide variety of treasures await your inspection.
Proceeds from the sale will help preserve the structure, which has stood at the head of Main street for over 260 years, making it the oldest existing home in Damariscotta.
The sale will include a variety of antiques as well as vintage treasures and even new items. The committee is still collecting donations, so if you are cleaning out your attic or cellar and have something to add, please call Natalie House at 563-8441.
Chapman-Hall House is maintained by Lincoln County Historical Association, a non-profit organization that also provides educational programs and stewardship for the 1761 Pownalborough Courthouse in Dresden and the 1811 Old Jail and Museum in Wiscasset.
Lincoln County Historical Association will present Summer with the Past, a week-long children’s program at the 1811 Old Jail the week of August 8-12. For more information on this program visit the LCHA website at: www.lincolncountyhistory.org.
