Charles B. Davidson
Charles B. Davidson, 89, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on May 22, 2020.
He was born on Jan. 21, 1931 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to L. Otis and Sarah Davidson. He graduated Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Class of 1953, and served in the United States Air Force from 1953 – 1956 where he was a linguist in the Russian language.
He then began a career as a reading teacher in Pittsburgh and later in Hicksville, New York. He resided in Pittsburgh, Long Island, New York, and Boothbay Harbor, Maine before settling in Jacksonville.
Mr. Davidson is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Josephine “Judy” MacArthur Davidson; nieces and nephews, Robert Kunkle, Susan Knott (Jim), Katherine Shoemaker (Tom), and Stephen MacArthur (Sandy); great-nieces and nephews, Laura, Kate, Kate, Jonathan, McKenzie, Chase, and Deborah; as well as extended family and dear friends.

Viewing and visitation will be held at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, June 4 from 9:15-9:45 a.m. We are following CDC guidelines and allowing as many as 50 people in the building, and strongly encourage the use of a protective mask as well as suitable distances between family and friends.
Graveside services will immediately follow at 10 a.m. He will be laid to rest in the Sermon on the Mount Mausoleum.
