Choke and jeers
Dear Editor:
Last week, a writer warned us in a friendly manner to hold our noses and support Trump the candidate, not Trump the man.
Kamala Harris and all Democrats, he argued, operate behind a stage set of “smoke and mirrors,” promising everything and doing nothing. Trump, on the other hand, “has stood his ground, has not wavered” and “will lead you down the path of truth, justice, and the American way.”
We all know how this resolute leader has wavered on women’s reproductive rights and national health care; how he failed to deliver on the “big beautiful Wall” that Mexico will pay for; so completely abandoned the truth that he told 30,573 documented lies during his four-year term; and has been convicted on 34 felony counts, while facing three more indictments for fraud, election subversion, and obstruction.
If this is his “American way,” it’s no wonder he choked in the debate against Vice President Harris and elicited jeers for his Hillbilly Parody roadshow.
