There will be an iris sale Saturday, July 8, 9 a.m. to noon, at the Edgecomb Community Church to help fund our community lunches.

Louise Hardina has been disassembling her gardens after years of collecting German Bearded iris. There are many varieties potted and ready for new homes. We can’t identify them all, but you may trust that each one is special. Over the years about 140 varieties have been collected. These are not the common colors that you see on every corner. There are light colors, and dark colors, two-toned colors, and variegated colors. These are small but healthy plants offered at $5 per pot.

This may be your last chance to have Louise’s iris. After this sale, there will be fewer than 20 varieties in her garden.
