Join author Greg Latimer for an education on discovering the paranormal during a program with Boothbay Region Adult & Community Education on Thursday, Nov. 7. The session will include theories and practices, use of equipment, examination of photos, and videos of active paranormal explorations in Maine and elsewhere, including the Johnny Cash house in Jamaica.

Some of the photos and videos present very compelling evidence of phenomena that defy explanation through known science.

A portion of the proceeds from the class will go to benefit repair work taking place at Burnt Island Light. During the class, Latimer will describe eyewitness descriptions of paranormal activity at the lighthouse and island.

Latimer is the author of “Ghosts of the Boothbay Region” and “Haunted Damariscotta” as well as the research director of MysteriousDestinationsMagazine.com, an online publication that explores mysteries throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean. He is an award-winning investigative reporter and a former police evidence photographer who has transferred this skill set into exploring the paranormal in a logical, level-headed fashion.

Latimer and Sally Lobkowicz, director of Red Cloak Haunted History Tours, have recently returned from a two-month research expedition for MysteriousDestinationsMagazine.com that covered 12 states, 21 cities and 108 mysterious destinations. Latimer will discuss some of the highlights from that trip.
