CLC YMCA’s Annual Fund exceeds 2018 goal
The Central Lincoln County YMCA surpassed their 2018 Annual Fund goal of $120,000, ending the year with a total of $145,476 through the Annual Letter Appeal. In addition, the CLC YMCA raised over $93,000 through special events and more than $104,000 in grant funding for an impressive grand total of $343,000.
The 2018 Annual Fund launched in early July with the theme “You Are Y;” an extraordinary opportunity to offer a brighter future for the children, families and seniors in Lincoln County. Money raised through the annual letter appeal, events and grants directly benefit the community, ensuring membership for all regardless of ability to pay, with financial assistance. These funds allow the CLC YMCA to offer free-to-the-community programs and outreach support such as: providing more than 400 children with various tennis programs; supplying local food pantries through the Fill The Y Bus – Food Drive; hosting FARMS at the Y programming; and supporting 321 camper weeks with $16,538 in camp scholarships.
Additionally, these funds support the health initiatives the YMCA is committed to working on through Evidence-Based Health Programs, assisting with chronic disease management and prevention.
When you give to the Y, you give your neighbors opportunities to thrive. The Y is a not-for-profit organization and relies on charitable donations to sustain and enhance programming, serve members, and reach out to individual communities. Through the generous support of YMCA donors, the Y makes a meaningful and long-lasting impact right here at home in our own communities.
The CLC YMCA is a key collaborative leader improving the quality of life for all by being the champion for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
