Coastal Humane Society and Lincoln County Animal Shelter to host ‘Black Cat Ball’
The Coastal Humane Society and Lincoln County Animal Shelter announced on Tuesday that their new Halloween-themed annual event, The Black Cat Ball, will take place Oct. 28 at Fort Andross in Brunswick at 7 p.m.
The Halloween ball will feature catered light fare, a cash bar, and numerous festive events throughout the evening. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. All proceeds from the event will benefit the 3,500 annual animal residents of Coastal Humane Society and Lincoln County Animal Shelter.
At the end of the night, a special drawing will take place selecting the winner of the shelters’ $10,000 Cash Prize raffle. The $10,000 Cash Prize raffle is a fundraiser for shelter pets, made possible by an anonymous supporter of the shelter who donated the cash prize for a raffle. A limited number of raffle tickets will be sold, and they are currently for sale at coastalhumanesociety.org and at the shelters’ administrative office on 190 Pleasant Street in Brunswick.
Kate Griffith, director of Programs and Community Relations for the shelters, is coordinating the Black Cat Ball.
“This event promises to be a fun, fantastic way to celebrate Halloween while raising money for animals in need, and everyone’s invited.
“It’s a great opportunity to have fun and be with fellow animal lovers in our communities, supporting a wonderful cause, in a great space. Our guests can expect a quirky, surprising night of Halloween fun,” she added.
Tickets for the Black Cat Ball are for sale on the Coastal Humane Society website, coastalhumanesociety.org. The price per ticket is $60, and $50 for two or more tickets. There is no cap for attendance of this event.
Raffle tickets for the $10,000 Cash Prize may also be purchased online while tickets are available.
