Contemplative photography outings
On September 29 and on November 24, 2013, the Brunswick Shambhala Meditation Center, located at 19 Mason Street, Brunswick is offering a Sunday afternoon contemplative photography outing that is open to the public.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore the practice of contemplative photography, which is described as both a meditative and an art practice that can heighten awareness of the beauty and clarity of the world.
Contemplative photography is also described as the practice of seeing with fresh eyes. Join in with other amateur photographers to meditate, then go out into the world to aimlessly wander and photograph flashes of perception.
Participants will return to the center to share our images and insights. Bring a camera and download cable to computer or a card reader. All levels of experience and cameras welcome. Suggested donation of $10. per day. Register for one or both days. To see examples of similar work go to: www.seeingfresh.com
