Courtney N. Arel weds Michael P. Trebing
Courtney Nancy Arel and Michael Palaski Trebing were married at Crystal Cove Resort in Appleby, St. James, Barbados on May 27, 2013. The Reverend Coleridge Darlington from the Anglican Church of England officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Corinne and David Arel of East Boothbay and the groom is the son of Marie And Alfred Trebing of Ridgefield, Conn.
The violinist played Canon in D as the bride was escorted by her parents down the beach to her groom waiting under the floral draped, bamboo arch. The bride wore a silk taffeta, sweetheart neckline gown, adorned by a handmade lace and pearl sash from Holland.
She wore her second great-grandmother's diamond & amethyst ring and her great-grandmother's diamond & enamel daisy pin. The bride's “something blue” sapphire anklet was a gift worn in memory of her late Aunt Kimberly. She carried a bouquet of all white roses, orchids and tiger lilies.
The bride's mother served as matron of honor. The groom's brother, Adam Palaski Trebing served as his best man. The bride's brother, David Nelson Arel, Jr. served as a groomsman. Sister-in-law, Jaclyn Marie Trebing, and friend, Stefanie Anne Welling served as bridesmaids.
Following the ceremony, the intimate group boarded a catamaran for three hours of dancing, swimming and snorkeling with the turtles. A late evening dinner was at Cin-Cin By The Sea on the west coast of Barbados.
The bride and groom are both graduates of Ridgefield High School, Ridgefield, Conn. and Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I. The groom is also a graduate of UConn's Graduate Program and a Certified CPA.
The bride is employed as an insurance broker with Aon Risk Services in New York City. The groom is an accountant with KPMG in Stamford, Conn.
They look forward to residing in Rye, N.Y.
