COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic slated for May 27 in Waldoboro
After a successful week vaccinating more than 600 children age 12 and up at a variety of school clinics and delivering an additional 600 adult doses at the Boothbay Region Y clinic, LincolnHealth is taking its vaccine team on the road again.
Anyone age 12 and up can receive a first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday, May 27, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign War Post 4525 on Mill Street in Waldoboro. All required forms will be available at the clinic, and children age 12 to 17 must have parental consent, which can be obtained by phone or in person.
“We are at the point where getting people the first dose of the vaccine requires creative approaches and community outreach,’’ said LincolnHealth President Cindy Wade. “We’re grateful for the support of town leaders and the VFW. This helped make this clinic a reality, and we look forward to a good turnout in Waldoboro.”
Those interested in making an appointment to be vaccinated can do so by calling Lincoln Medical Partners’ Waldoboro office at 832-6394. Walk-ins will also be accepted.
Future community clinics are being evaluated and will be announced on social media, so it’s a good idea to follow LincolnHealth on Facebook.
