A culinary fundraiser with Cherie Scott
Cherie Scott, a Mumbai-native who now calls Maine her new home and the creator of Mumbai to Maine – Maine’s first Indian-inspired culinary brand, will share her cultural roots and nostalgic anecdotes of her journey from Mumbai to Maine, as she provides the class with her coveted family recipes from the heart of India.
Scott has recently launched a line of home-style, regional, Indian-simmer sauces based on her heritage family recipes and handcrafted in small batches in Boothbay. Mumbai to Maine also includes a food blog, a podcast, and a regional cooking series curated exclusively for Stonewall Kitchen Cooking School. As a new member of the Maine State Music Theater Board of Trustees, Cherie is donating her time and talent to help grow the MSMT Lifeline Fund – created to navigate the theatre’s enormous revenue loss due to COVID-19.
