The June 9 meeting and rally in Damariscotta with Democratic candidate for Governor Mike Michaud has been postponed. Lincoln County Democrats announced that Congressman Mike Michaud has had to postpone his planned visit to Damariscotta on Monday, June 9 in order to return earlier than expected to Washington, D.C. to participate in an important oversight hearing of the House of Representatives Committee on Veterans Affairs which will focus on getting answers regarding ongoing scandals in VA health benefits. Congressman Michaud is the senior Democrat on the House Veterans Affairs Committee.

Lincoln County Democrats announced their intention to reschedule the rally and meeting later in the summer and extended their thanks to the many people who had volunteered to help organize the rally.
