Damariscotta Police Department: Several warnings issued to motorists
The Damariscotta Police report the following activity from Feb. 8 to Feb. 14.
Feb. 8
Officer Halpin conducted speed enforcement in the school zone on Main Street, took a complaint of a traffic hazard at the intersection of Main and School streets, conducted a compliance check at the police department, took a lost property report on Main Street, and conducted speed enforcement in the school zone on Main Street.
Sgt. Warlick assisted a citizen on Courtyard Street, investigated a report of a parking problem on Church Street, took a lost property report on Elm Street, and assisted with a parking problem on Main Street.
Feb. 9
Dorothy Koughan of Wiscasset was warned for speeding on Main Street by Officer Halpin.
Chief Young and Officer Halpin responded to a report of a suicidal person on Hodgdon Street.
Officer Halpin assisted with a parking problem on Main Street, investigated a single vehicle accident on Lessner Road; Richard Raber of Damariscotta was driving a 2014 Ford F-150 and no injuries were reported, assisted with a disabled motor vehicle on Biscay Road, and assisted with traffic control on Main Street.
Chief Young and Officer Halpin responded to a report of a possible overdose on Elm Street.
Sgt. Warlick investigated a two vehicle accident on Main Street; Bonita McKay of Waldoboro was driving a 2016 Ford Fusion, Shana York of Damariscotta was driving a 2015 Toyota Tacoma. No injuries reported.
Anthony McCullagh of Warren was arrested on an warrant by Sgt. Warlick.
Feb. 10
Officer Seekins warned Lisa Lincoln of South Bristol for inspection on Main Street, conducted speed enforcement on Bristol Road, warned Rebecca Sigler of Bristolfor inspection on Day’s Cove Lane, warned Darick Herald of Nobleboro for inspection on Main Street, warned Danielle Glidden of Walpole for inspection on Day’s Cove Lane, warned Daniel Baty of Round Pond for inspection on Main Street, and conducted speed enforcement in the school zone on Main Street.
Other warnings issued by Officer Seekins included: Jennifer Chadwick of Bristol for inspection on Main Street; Tania Reeves of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for speeding on Main Street; Andrew Feltis of Bristol for inspection on Main Street; Jen-Lyn Touchette of Bristol for inspection on Main Street; Josip Luksic of Nobleboro for inspection and expired license on Bristol Road; Mark Prior of Bristol for no front plate on Bristol Road; Mark Mainella of Nobleboro for inspection on Main Street; and Robert Christ of Waldoboro for inspection on Route 1.
Eric Manning of Bristol was summonsed for inspection on Bristol Road by Officer Seekins.
Chief Young conducted a compliance check in and assisted a citizen at the police department.
Officer Seekins assisted another agency locating a subject.
Nichole Holmstrom of Bremen was arrested for unlawful possession of scheduled drugs by Officer Seekins.
Sgt. Warlick investigated a two vehicle accident on Main Street Thomas Hutchins of Alna was driving a 2003 Toyota Highlander, Derek DeGeer of Damariscotta was driving a 2002 Toyota Corolla.
Beth Preston of Nobleboro was warned for a defect on Main St. by Officer Dotson.
Feb. 11
Chief Young took a police information reports at the police department, assisted a citizen on Hodgdon Street, conducted a well-being check on Elm Street, investigated a report of trespassing on Main Street, and is investigating a report of theft on Main Street.
Feb. 12
Sgt. Warlick conducted speed enforcement in the school zone on Main Street, warned Lisa York of Nobleboro for speeding on Main Street, conducted a compliance check in at the police department, took a police information report at the police department, attempted to locate a subject with a warrant, investigated a report of a disabled motor vehicle on Main Street, assisted a citizen at the police department, and took a police information report at the police department.
Sgt. Warlick and Officer Dotson assisted with a combative person on Miles Street.
Officer Dotson responded to a reported theft on Main Street, summonsed Melanie Hilton of Waldoboro for theft by deception, and summonsed Alec Binder of Rockland for attaching false plates on Main Street.
Feb. 13
Sgt. Warlick conducted a pedestrian check on Main Street, summonsed Gregory Collins of Nobleboro for insurance and inspection on Main Street, took a report of lost property on Main Street, and took a report of found property on Main Street.
Officer Sylvester investigated an alarm on Main Street.
Officer Dotson investigated an alarm on Main Street and took a police information report on Main Street.
Feb. 14
Officer Halpin investigated an alarm on Main Street and assisted with an out of control person on Miles Street.
Robert Blagden of Wiscasset was warned for operation on Main Street by Officer Sylvester.
