Wiscasset Parks and Recreation Department held its first Mother-Son Dance in seven years Friday evening, May 13. There were nearly 50 boys in attendance with their moms, grandmas and other mother figures. Everyone danced (or played) the night away, enjoyed refreshments and some lucky boys and moms even went home with door prizes like games and chocolate!
The youngest son was Winston Johnson, 2 years old, who came to the dance with his mom Arianna Johnson. The oldest son was Andrew Lincoln, 23, who brought his mom Kristy Lincoln (WPRD's after school/summer camp director) to the dance.
We were very happy with the turnout and are excited to bring this fun tradition back!
