Ed Polewarczyk is a treasure
Dear Editor:
I have known Ed Polewarczyk since he moved to Wiscasset, after his amazing career in rocket science. After a few years of attending many meetings in Wiscasset to familiarize himself with the process, Ed ran for Selectman. He was a very conscientious and hard working Selectman. He always did his homework, attended many town committee meetings, just to stay up to date, and made thoughtful and wise votes while in office.
After he took some time off for surgery, I saw Ed at a Lincoln County Republican meeting, and told him I thought it was time for him to run for something at the state level. There was a vacant seat, which he ran for and won. I was proud to be a part of his campaign, which consisted of hundreds of door knocks. He learned from each of these, and tried to represent the views which he heard from constituents. While in the minority during his two year term, Ed worked hard and was a part of the effort which resulted in reversing Wiscasset’s loss of income from Maine Yankee.
Ed always has a smile, and is still saying “I am having a ball." I don’t think you could find a more intelligent, conscientious, and decent person to continue to represent us in the State House. Let’s not waste the two years of hard work he has already given for his constituents, and lose the incredible talents he brings to the House. Please cast your vote for Ed!
