Edgecomb approves all 60 warrant articles
Seventy-two voters approved the $4,917,732 combined municipal and school budgets during a May 21 referendum vote. The budget is a $95,315 increase or 1.98%. The Fiscal Year 22 school budget is $3,283,589, a 0.9% decrease. Lower education spending also translates to a lower local school assessment. That decreased from $2,569,806 in Fiscal Year 21 to $2,432,378 or a 5.3% drop.
All municipal elections were uncontested. Mike Smith won a third three-year term as selectman. Rebecca Graham won her second three-year planning board term and Cory Mullins also won a three-year term to the planning board. Nichole Price won a three-year term as school committee member. Arthur Garey won election to an unexpired school committee seat. Claudia Coffin won re-election as town clerk and treasurer. Both are one-year terms. Scott Griffin won another one-year term as road commissioner. Rebecca Brewer was elected to a one-year term as tax collector.
