Edgecomb wants more information about subdivision proposal
The Edgecomb planning board encouraged a property owner to submit an application concerning her intent to build a residence at 40 U.S. Route 1. Ronna Lugosh and her consultant, Karl Olson, met with the board on Oct. 2 to discuss her plans to subdivide her property.
Lugosh wants to carve out a 2.1 acre lot build a residence on the property’s back section. She owns 4.66 acres, which is already home to Lugosh’s business, Peapod Jewelry, and a farm stand.
The planning board wants to review her application before advising on how the town ordinances and codes affect her proposal.
Olson, a Wiscasset surveyor and land use consultant, said an application would be submitted in time for the next meeting in two weeks.
In other action, the board unanimously approved a building permit for a Sheepscot Harbour Village summer resident to build a deck.
Eric Bosco received approval to build the 26-foot by 6-foot deck with a 39-inch high rail on the front of his cabin. Bosco received approval from the village association to build the deck a year ago.
The planning board will meet next at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 16 in the municipal building.
