Eldena Rose Main, 82, formerly of Wiscasset, Maine died on April 27, 2021 in South Boston, Mass.

She was born on Feb. 28,1939, the only daughter of Clifton and Flora L. (Pennington) Munsey.

She attended Wiscasset schools and graduated from Wiscasset High School, class of 1957.

On May 3, 1973, she married Harold E. Main. Soon after they made South Boston their home. She was employed by hotels for many years in Boston and enjoyed that work. But, after retiring from the Parker House, she found a job she absolutely loved. Working for Jumpstart, Eldena helped preschool children in the Boston area learn to read.

She loved her cats and has always had at least one to love in their home. She played the piano beautifully. She loved flowers and her husband always kept rose gardens for her to enjoy.

She is survived by her husband, Harold E. Main of South Boston, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Thomas “ Elliot” Munsey and Douglas Munsey.
