Elizabeth (Bette) Monfort of Westport Island passed away quietly May 19, 2023. Bette was in assisted living in Leesburg, Florida where he daughter, Susan Monfort lives.

Bette was born Oct. 1, 1924 in Canto, New York. She was adopted by Herman and Dorothy Law and named Elizabeth Ann Law.

Bette graduated high school in Dobbs Ferry, New York and attended some college at St Lawrence University where she studied dancing and piano for the concert stage.

She married Platt Monfort June 30, 1946 and gave birth to Gary in 1947, Gail in 1950, and Susan in 1952. Gail had two sons; Timothy and Ryan.

Bette and Platt moved to Westport Island in 1970 where they started Geodesic Aerolite Boats.

Bette is survived by her daughter Susan Monfort, and grandson Ryan Delano.

She wished for her remains to be donated for medical research. There will be no funeral or memorial service.
