Equine art show with Beth Badger at River Arts
River Arts in Damariscotta will be hosting an opening reception for “Horse Power,” an exhibition featuring equine paintings by Beth Badger of Brunswick, on Oct. 25 from 1 to 6 p.m. The show, displayed in the West Gallery, features 30 oil paintings depicting horses of all sizes, their spirit and skills. Visitors are free to come to the opening dressed in “equestrian attire.”
A portion of the proceeds from the show will benefit the nonprofit Equine Angels Veterans Program in Maine. The show will run through Nov. 12.
Before moving to Maine, Badger was the Gallery Director for the Nantucket Artists Association for several years. She is a juried artist in watercolor and oils, selling her work in galleries, by commission and online. For more on the artist, visit www.bethbadger.com.
River Arts is located at 241 Route 1 in Damariscotta. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
