Sentencing has been set for later this month for fired Maine State Trooper Gregory Vrooman. In April, a Lincoln County jury convicted the 46-year-old Nobleboro man of a dozen charges, including subjecting a girl to unlawful sexual contact when she was 12 and 13.

Sentencing is scheduled to take place in Lincoln County Superior Court, June 25, at 2 p.m. Vrooman was injured in a courtroom attack before the verdicts were announced. A relative of the victim was tackled and charged with assault in connection with the incident. court officials said.
