Area kids and teens of all ages are invited to the annual FASCAR rally at Boothbay Baptist Church on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 6:15 p.m.

Children may bring their own Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars, or use some supplied by the church, to race on the computerized track in the Fellowship Hall downstairs in the church. Even adults can race, and many do! Trophies, medals and other prizes will be awarded for various age groups, and healthy snacks will be provided.

This free and fun event, to which parents are invited, will be the kickoff for the Word of Life youth groups which meet every Wednesday evening, 6:15-8 p.m. at the church. Eric Brown of Word of Life Ministries will be on hand, along with the volunteer leaders, to introduce the youth group program and encourage kids to learn about God in a caring setting with fun activities and challenges.

Olympians is the group for children in grades 1-6, and Word of Life Teens is open to students in grades 7-12.
