Boothbay Region Art Foundation - 1 Townsend Ave. - Open house 4-7 p.m. with refreshments. Featuring the new “July in Maine” show on the first floor; on the second floor - Villard Studios’ “PORTAL” in the Harbor Room; Gallery One features two artists from the Bangor area: Joanne Houlsen, who works in acrylics, has a grouping of “Seaside Homes and Gardens” and watercolorist Diana Young has selections from her “Figures in ‘Life‘scapes“

Gold/Smith Gallery - 8 McKown St. - July and August: Tempera on board by Tuscan Painter Ivano Balluchi. There will be a reception for the new exhibit First Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the gallery. For more information the gallery can be reached at 207-633-6252 for more information.

Joy to the Wind - 34 Atlantic Ave. - Open house 5-7 p.m. - Featured new work: “Transformations” by John M.T. Seitzer.  Paintings that provide a light hearted and vibrant look at the before and a remaking of the now. Landscapes provide a background and a foundation for the refashioned paintings that make up John’s new series. 207-633-7025. joytothewind.com. Gleason Fine Art - 31 Townsend Ave. - Open house/artist reception 5-7 p.m.  Featured new show: “Henry Isaacs: Maine and New Hampshire.” Show runs through August 15. Summer gallery hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. Check out Henry Isaacs' show on the gallery website, gleasonfinart.com.

Studio 53 - 53 Townsend Ave. -  will be featuring the “Reimagined” work of David Estey during the month of July and at our First Friday event from 4 to 7 p.m. Work by all of the other gallery artists will also be on display. Please stop by and see us. Refreshments will be served.
