Football, and more football
Between the expanded college football playoff, bowl games and NFL’s 18-week season, and now the divisional round of games this weekend, it has been a busy fall, and now winter, for TV football viewers.
Eight NFL teams will now try to move on and make the conference championships and eventual “big game” on Feb. 9 in New Orleans.
My heart is with the Detroit Lions to win it all. This franchise has never been to the “big game” and suffered many losing seasons. I am hoping having the past week off gave some injured players time to heal and that they will be at near full-strength for their game against the Washington Commanders on Saturday. My prediction is that Detroit will win that game.
My other predicted winners include Kansas City over Houston, Philadelphia over Los Angeles and Baltimore over Buffalo.
That will leave Detroit vs. Philadelphia for the NFC championship and Kansas City vs. Baltimore for the AFC championship.
Baltimore vs. Detroit in the big game … I think it’s Detroit’s year!
As for Monday’s College Football Championship game, Notre Dame vs. Ohio State, the Buckeyes take home the trophy.
Please don’t bet any money based on my predictions. I don’t bet and these are just my “gut” feelings on a Tuesday morning in January.
Enjoy the games!
