Forgues completes training
About Face Skin Care Salon and Cosmetic Boutique is excited to announce the recent graduation and certification of Lauren Forgues in the permanent hair removal method of electroloysis.
Lauren completed her 600-hour training from the Electrology Institue of New England in Tewksbury, Massachusetts and received her Maine state license to perform electrolysis.
Electrolysis is the only method of hair removal approved by the FDA to permanently remove unwanted hair. Hair removal methods such as waxing and shaving do not remove hair permanently. Laser treatments, which use light, are FDA approved for hair reduction, not permanency and is very discriminating against hair types, hair color and skin types. Electrolysis is non-discriminatory as any person, with any hair type and skin color can receive an effective treatment on any part of the body. The cosmetic process of electrolysis has actually been around for over 100 years. Recent technological advancements allow the client to receive a comfortable treatment while destroying the hair germ cells in each hair follicle with little discomfort. Because electrolysis treats each individual hair with a fine probe, a series of consistent treatments is required to achieve permanent results.
Lauren offers electrolysis at About Face Mondays, Tuesday mornings and Wednesday afternoons and can accommodate any clients busy schedule. Call 207-563-3444 for a free consultation and more information on pricing.
