With the new year, many of us will be making resolutions. Resolutions are a tradition, most common in the western world but also found in the eastern world, in which a person resolves to continue good practices, change an undesired trait or behavior, accomplish a personal goal, or otherwise improve their behavior at the beginning of a calendar year. Some resolutions will be short-lived; others will truly impact our lives.  

I take the liberty of proposing a resolution that you will enjoy and will benefit our community. In 2025, resolve to become a member of the Friends of The Wiscasset Public Library. Our next meeting will be Wednesday, Jan. 8. Meetings are held in Wiscasset Public Library, 21 High St., Wiscasset and begin at 9:30 a.m. with a coffee social time. The business meeting begins at 10 a.m.

I encourage you to join us on Jan. 8 to meet the members and hear about some of the wonderful times we have shared.
