Garden Club of Wiscasset installs officers
New officers of the Garden Club of Wiscasset were installed at their annual spring luncheon on June 6 at the Marianmade Lavender Farm owned by club member Michelle Peele.
It was the first event ever to be held at the new facility, which is open now for weddings and other festive events. The delicious luncheon was catered by Treats in Wiscasset.
Outgoing president Carol Blake thanked the members for their support during her term. She was presented with a gift certificate from Moose Crossing to thank her for her leadership for the past two years.
The new board consists of Emily Adler, president, Linda Belmont, vice-president, Beth Maxwell, treasurer, Margaret Holden, recording secretary and Barbara Bruno, corresponding secretary.
The next meeting of the club will be Thursday, September 5 at 12:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Wiscasset. Club member, Elizabeth Rodenz will be our speaker and her topic will be “Extend Your Garden Space and Growing Season.”
Tea will follow the program. Guests are always welcome to attend the meetings.
