Members have been helping to maintain gardens in Bath, Dresden and Wiscasset throughout the summer.
With events and meetings canceled from April through August due to COVID-19, our postponed annual meeting and luncheon was held Sept. 3 at Montsweag Farm Restaurant in the upper level outside event area.
President Elizabeth Maxwell welcomed everyone and informed members that the Club was the recipient of two Garden Club Federation of Maine awards: Club of Distinction (350 points) and the Norine S. Veal award for most new members. Maxwell also gave out two certificates of appreciation to members Emily Adler and Linda Belmont.
Priscilla Hansen presented the Thomas and Lansdale Gardiner silver bowl to club member and vice president Lisa Freeman. This prestigious award recognizes a member of the Garden Club of Wiscasset who has generously shared garden-related skills and knowledge.
Plans are under way to possibly host a Zoom meeting for our October meeting. More information to follow.
