The GCW held its annual meeting at the Maine Tasting Center Educational building on June 2 from 2 to 4 p.m. Over 30 members enjoyed a lovely tea luncheon. Also in attendance was Linda Redman, director of Medomak District of The Garden Club Federation of Maine.

 

During a brief business meeting, GCW President Lisa Freeman gave out two certificates of appreciation for outstanding support to the community and garden club programs to longtime member Sally Howe and Vice President Robin Grant.

 

Candice “Canny” Cahn spoke on a mentoring program for members to share their knowledge with GCW members. This new and exciting idea will be featured in a future article.

 

The meeting ended with distribution of 2022-2023 yearbooks and a fun raffle.
